Los Angeles Dodgers Julio Urias (27) was placed on the injured list.

MLB.com, the official major league media outlet, said on the 21st (hereafter Korean time), “The Dodgers announced that they placed Urias on the disabled list on the 15th due to an inflammation of the left hamstring retroactively to the 20th just before the game. In the game on the 19th, Urias allowed 4 home runs in 3 innings and allowed 6 runs.” 

Urias is the안전놀이터 ace who has been leading the Dodgers for a long time. He achieved 20 wins in 2021, and last season also played an active role in 31 games (175 innings) with 17 wins and 7 losses with an earned run average of 2.16. However, he is struggling this season with a 4.39 earned run average of 5 wins and 4 losses in 10 games (55⅓ innings). In his last appearance, he gave up 6 runs with 6 hits (4 homers), 2 walks, 1 strikeout in 3 innings against St. Louis. 

MLB.com said, “Urias was scheduled to pitch against Atlanta on the 24th. The Dodgers haven’t announced a new starter since Dustin May (left forearm inflammation injury) went on the disabled list, so Urias’ injury left two vacancies in the starting rotation.” 

The Dodgers called up Wander Suero in place of Urias. Suero posted an ERA of 5.79 in 3 games (4⅔ innings) in the major leagues this season.
