“It’s a blessing to play in this uniform”…’436.7 billion’ man hits 300 home runs in 12th season in big leagues
“I’m very happy to wear this uniform every day.”
Bryce Harper (Philadelphia Phillies)온라인바카라 went 1-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, one RBI, one run scored, one walk and one strikeout while batting third in the lineup against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim during the 2023 Major League Baseball World Series at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, on April 31.
Harper singled in his first at-bat in the first inning and struck out in his second at-bat in the third. In his third at-bat of the fifth inning, he was stranded at second base with nobody out on a grounder to third base. In his fourth at-bat in the bottom of the sixth, he reached base for the first time in the game. He walked to load the bases.
Trailing 6-7 in the bottom of the eighth, he delivered the game-winning hit. With two outs and runners on first and second, he targeted Matt Moore’s 85.3-mph (137 km/h) knuckle curveball. He crushed it over the right field fence. It was Harper’s 300th career home run.

Harper was selected by the Washington Nationals with the first overall pick in the 2010 draft. He made his big league debut with Washington in 2012 and won the unanimous MVP award in 2015.
After playing through the 2018 season, Harper hit free agency ahead of the 2019 season. He signed a 13-year, $330 million contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Harper was sidelined last season with a fractured thumb and finished with a .286 batting average with 18 homers, 65 RBIs, 63 runs scored and a .878 OPS in 99 games and 106 at-bats. This season, however, he has returned to form, hitting .308 with 15 homers, 55 RBIs, 66 runs scored and a .905 OPS in 99 games.

“I really wanted to hit 300 homers for these fans and this great city,” Harper said, “I wish I could have hit more. People don’t think about one to three home runs. They think about bigger numbers. I’m very happy with my record. But it’s just a stepping stone.”
“I’m lucky and happy to wear the Philadelphia logo on my chest and wear this uniform every day,” Harper continued, “I love these fans and I love the city. I love these fans and I love this city. Hopefully, I can play a lot longer than my current contract.”
Meanwhile, the Phillies had no laughing matter after Harper’s home run cut the deficit to 8-7. In the top of the ninth, he gave up a sacrifice fly to Luis Renfroe to tie the game. He then gave up a two-run homer to Brandon Drury to lose the game.
