‘Moon Seung-won, 1 run free throw’ SSG, 3 consecutive losses ended…KIA Lim Ki-young 5K no-hit

 SSG Landers escaped from a 3-game losing streak.

KIA Medina SSG recorded 5 hits, 2 walks, 5 strikeouts and 3 runs (2 earned) in 5 innings against the winning line. After a walk and catcher’s fastball in the first inning, he was hit by a double by Choi Jeong and conceded a run. After that, he went scoreless until the 4th inning, but in the 5th he gave up 3 hits in a row with 2 out and 1st base and allowed 2 runs. 

Lim Ki-young, who followed, pitched 3 innings with 5 strikeouts, 1 walk and no hits. It was a strong message to newcomer Yoon Young-cheol that he would not give up his 5th starter spot. In the 8th inning, rookie Kwak Do-gyu gave up a hit and a walk, but kept it scoreless.
